5 Vegetable oil
Vegetable oil is a widely known remedy for cracked heels. Vegetable oil and other similar oils can be used to rehydrate the skin. Soak your feet in lukewarm soapy water for ten minutes, scrub the affected area with a foot scrubber, loofah or pumice stone. Ensure you scrub only dry and dead skin to avoid damage to your feet. Generously apply vegetable oil to the affected areas.
This remedy is better done at night just before bedtime when your feet are tender. You might have to repeat the process couple of times in a week to start seeing results. Neem is also known as Indian lilac or margosa, it is very effective in treating cracked and itchy feet. It works by soothing irritation from dryness and also ward off infections.
To use neem as a remedy for cracked heel, crush the leaves until it turns into a gooey paste, apply to the affected area and leave for thirty minutes. Wash with lukewarm water and pat dry.
