Temple Hair Loss – One of the most unpleasant and annoying things is the falling off and thinning of the temple hair, it is common in both men and women.

It is particularly a characteristics of a pattern of baldness in men and some women.  It starts from the temple and becomes an issue when styling your hair on any side of the head.

What is temple hair loss?

Temple hair fall is the falling off of hair at the temples. Typically, it is common in both women and men, it is a prominent attribute of the Male Pattern Baldness where the hair starts thinning at the temple instead from the top of the head.

But if you are experiencing hair loss at the temple then you are also probably losing hair from the top of your head too. It is also a condition that can take place on one side of the head too.

Cause of Temple Hair Loss

Most times, loss of hair at the temple is genetically inherited from parents.

Occasionally, it could be due to excessive use of hair extension, making of tight hairstyles and also using tight hairbands which could put a strain on the hair.

Other medical conditions also, for example, hormonal imbalance, thyroid level, and PCOS cause also cause hair thinning or loss.

Treatment of Temple Hair Loss

1. Coconut Oil
• Heat coconut oil for few seconds until it becomes a bit warm.

• Massage the oil into your scalp for about 12-15 minutes while focusing on the temples.

• Once your skull is fully covered, spread the oil to the length of your hair.
• Leave the oil on as it is for 30 minutes on the scalp.


• Rinse with mild sulfate-free shampoo and with cold/lukewarm water.
Make a repetition of this treatment 2-3 times a week.

Coconut oil contains fatty acids which can penetrate deep into the scalp and hair, conditioning and nourishing it.

It also helps in enhancing child development while scalp health improves in its antimicrobial functions.

2. Cinnamon Honey Potion
• Get a small bowl, take 2 tbsp of powdered Cinnamon.

• Add 1 tbsp Honey and 2 tbsp Olive oil in cinnamon powder then mix them together.

• Apply this mixture to your hair and scalp.

• Once your scalp and hair are fully covered, leave the mixture on for about 40 minutes.

• Rinse off with a mild sulfate-free shampoo and cool/lukewarm water.
Make a revision of this process twice every week.

Cinnamon contains potassium, choline, and vitamins A, B, and E, which enhance hair growth and also regrowth of the hair at the temples of the forehead.

Olive oil helps to condition the hair while honey serves as a soother and binding moisture to the scalp and hair.
